Mother, You Were Always There for Me
A Loving Message from your Daughter Rita
When I needed a friend
who cared about my feelings,
Someone to give her time unselfishly,
When I needed a warm embrace
or just a smiling face...
Mother, you were always there for me.
When I needed someone
to listen to my problems,
to offer wise advise and sympathy,
Someone to understand
if I needed a helping hand...
Mother, you were always there for me.
When I needed a good example
to inspire me,
someone to help me be all I could be,
To share my happiness,
take pride in my success...
Mother, you were always there for me.
For all my life,
no matter what I've needed,
your special love was there
to see me through...
That's why I love you so
and why I hope you know,
Mother, I was always there for you.

My Mother, Georgianna

Hello mom, today God called
and you are now with the angels.
You were one in real life and
now you are one in heaven. Rest
easy mom, the pain and confusion
are gone and you are once again with dad.
With the knowledge of your peace, I rejoice.
In my heart I cry and miss you.
February 21, 1914 - July 25, 2001

Joy's recollection is no longer joy,
while sorrow's memory is sorrow still.
-Lord Byron

You were the sweetest angel
upon this earth
Your kindness and gentleness
showed in so many ways ...
In the glow on your face
In the glimmer in your eyes
In the smile upon your lips
In the kindness of your words
In the gentleness of your touch...
When God decided to create earth angels
He created you.
I love you Mom ...
you're more than my mother,
You're my best friend.
Happy Mother's Day
Love, Your daughter, Rita

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

The midi playing, Deep Purple, was a
favorite love song of my mom and dad's
when they he was in the Navy. They recorded it
in 1944 in a small record shop on a 78 RPM platter.
I still have the record to this day.
Mom turned 87 in February 2001 and lived with me after
a stroke in January 2000 left her with dementia,
loss of some vision and hearing on her left side
and the inability to do most of the things we all
take for granted. I tried to keep her happy but
every single day was a struggle for her to fight off
the depression and mini strokes that took her mind.
My sister helped when she could and we did our best
to keep mom happy and safe until I could no longer
care for her. With sad and heavy hearts, we placed her
in an eldercare facility in January 2001...
She went with God on July 25th, 2001...
Dad died in March, 1986.

When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to flicker in the sky
Through the mist of a memory you wander back to me
Breathing my name with a sigh
In the still of the night once again I hold you tight
Though you're gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams
And as long as my heart will beat, lover we'll always meet
Here in my deep purple dreams
Here in my deep purple dreams.
